WHY?

Why say thank you to someone who is or served in the military service or as a first responder?

When a young woman or man took their sacred oath of service in the military or as a First Responder, they signed a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including their life.

Military and First Responder men and woman on active duty for our Country wake up every day to a life of potential danger in order to preserve the lives of others. Their chance of losing life or limb is much greater than those of civilians who do not have to worry about any danger or circumstance that may harm themselves. Also, for many who have served, the memory of their accountability and responsibility after discharge or retirement leaves hidden scars that can stay with them for the rest of their lives.

The Unites States of America is the greatest Country in the world but everyday there is the possibility that a person based on their beliefs, because of mental illness, revenge or any other number of reasons commits an act of harm gives reason why we must have the protection of our Military, First Responders along with the other State and Federal Agencies that serve and protect us.

The women and men that serve and have served our Country through the military and as first responders believe there is always a better tomorrow. Many do this having their families at home for days, months even years waiting for them, so we do not have to be. Many when they are discharged or retire need to re-engage into the community, learn new ways to communicate even find a job from a hard discipline life that they have lived.

We all need to do our part for the sacrifices that these military and first responder men and women have given in order to protect our liberties and freedom and the first thing is to learn how to say thank you, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and to those who served in the military during the Vietnam War, WELCOME HOME.

CHANGE A LIFE TODAY

Freedom Flight South Florida and its Volunteer Corps are convicted to its mission of bringing, at no cost, US citizens who reside in South Florida and served honorably in the US Military and First Responders who have or are serving to protect us at home to the monuments built in their honor for a day of ceremony to reflect and say thank you.
